After the #201947 Telecaster kit in Sherwood Green over a Tobacco Burst, I started to think about doing more tone-over-tone finishes. I had an HSS Swamp Ash Strat body and a black pickguard left that fitted this pickup configuration, so I made a cool Tobacco Burst and I covered it in Jet Black. Usually I don't like black guitars, but it seemed a good idea to me at the moment.
Man, it sold in less than 48h; Frank, who had bought my recent Shell Pink HSH Stratocaster body and to whom I will be doing now a reissue of that #201947 Tele body, bought it. And let me tell you: even if black guitars are not my thing, this body's finish really makes my head spin; it is simply amazing!
