This is another of those Guitarbuild UK's bodies from my vault, from the old days. 2-pc Alder, 1.7Kg, prepared for 25,5" regular Telecaster bodies with 55.8 to 56.0mm at the heel, and the cavity has 17mm depth. No particular bridge assigned; you can use a short half Tele bridge, or hardtail, or even install something with a Bigsby... it's up to you. Humbucker-Strat single coil routing, and a backplate done by your friend right here from one of Thomann's Aged White pickguard plastic.

What you should also pay attention too is that the nitro checking is ON THE EDGE. If you haven't any experience on guitar projects, better put it on a good tech's hands. You will receive a bottle of my secret sauce because nitro will do cracks when you're going to install hardware. Just apply it on the wood with a Q-tip, the thing we use to clean our ears, and remove the excess with a smooth cloth, nothing complicated. Repeat this action of you like the wood darker.

Voici un autre de ces corps Guitarbuild UK issus de mon stock, pre-Covid19. Il est en aulne (deux pièces), pèse 1,7 kg et est conçu pour un manche standard de 25,5 pouces (type Telecaster), avec une largeur au talon de 55,8 à 56,0 mm et à une profondeur de cavité de 17 mm. Aucun chevalet spécifique n'est imposé : vous pouvez opter pour un chevalet court (type « half-Tele »), un chevalet fixe (hardtail) ou même y installer un Bigsby... c'est vous qui voyez. Le fraisage permet d'accueillir un humbucker et un micro simple bobinage (format Strat) ; quant à la plaque arrière, elle a été fabriquée par votre serviteur à partir d'une plaque de protection Thomann « Aged White ».

Un point important à noter : le craquelé du vernis nitro est A LA LIMITE! Si vous n'avez pas d'expérience en matière de projets guitare, mieux vaut confier le travail à un bon luthier ou technician. Je joins à l'envoi un flacon de ma « sauce secrète », car le vernis nitro risque de se fissurer lors de l'installation de l'accastillage. Il suffit de l'appliquer sur le bois à l'aide d'un coton-tige (ceux qu'on utilise pour les oreilles) et d'essuyer le surplus avec un chiffon doux ; rien de bien compliqué. Vous pouvez répéter l'opération si vous souhaitez obtenir une teinte de bois plus foncée.
