I have made this body with the same dedication as I do my other
projects, or even more, but it didn't brought me joy. Let me explain
why; someone on Reverb.com, from Dallas USA, saw one of my bodies
selling and asked me if I could do an Alder body in Fiesta Red, with no
primer, and about 12 to 15 coats of Fiesta Red lacquer, no clear coat,
so he would make cracking lines and relic it himself after. Ok, no
problem. I did it in 2 weeks, 2 thin coats per day on the first 4 days,
water sanding on top and bottom over the weekend, and same thing, 2
coats x 4 days on the 2nd week, to make sure I had achieved the
thickness he asked me.
I sent photos twice, and every time this guy wrote "-Cool man!", "-Cool stuff!", "-I can't wait!". At the very end, well, the guy tells me he's not sure that it is the good red... Jizzz!! Decided to end conversation with him.
So there you have it; it's a 2-pc Alder body, 2.0kg, built in UK, finished by me the best I know and can. The client who bought it asked me to do also a complete plastics set and also a neck plate and same screws. Here's the result.
