These
days I saw this '58 Reissue Custom Shop Strat from Fender selling at
Chicago Music Exchange in a surprising colour, Faded Burgundy Mist
Metallic, and I fell in love with it! (see the last picture to check out
the guitar that inspired me) So I tried to reproduce this colour, and I
made it!! You know, this is somehow different from my usual relic
works; metallic nitro colours don't react very well to the aged
contouring I make and neither to the final clear coat. So, this one is
basically nitro over this 2-pc Alder body from Guitarbuild and nothing
else. The bare wood was stained with water based tint and had a couple
of bee wax coats at the end
