#202204 :: Vibe King body in Heavy Relic TSB

It gives me an enourmous pleasure to share with you the photos that Tony, the owner of my latest Jazz Bass body, sent me this weekend of the final assembly of his new fretless JB. They are just magnificent!!

Here's some valuable information about the assembly Tony sent to me, thank you so much my friend!

"By the way, the few persons having played this Baldman relic have all complimented me about the look, feel and sound of the bass.

The neck is an original fretless 2003 American Fender 62 Reissue Jazz Bass with the original Fender reverse tuners that has received the Plek fingerboard dressing (they also do it for fretless, not only fretted) and has then been epoxied.

The pickups are Fender Original Vintage 62 AlNiCo 2 with the very low output, so the exact same ones that were fitted during this early 60’s, and not the overwound AlNiCo 5... The pots are CTS 250K, the jack is a Switchcraft and the capacitor a Sprague 47 nF.

The hardware is aged Gotoh except the Bakelite knobs that are original Fender ones. The strings are the Rotosound RS 66LD.

And the whole bass weights 4.240 kilos which is quite the standard for these."
