To relic a Poplar body it's not easy; the wood is softer than Alder or even Basswood. Still, I like the final result quite a lot. I had to do a last lacquer very thin coat once relic'd to help the wood tint to stick, and it works! It's a 2-pc body, 2.2kg, Fender standard measurements, made in UK as usual

As for a pickguard, if you don't want to buy one from Guitarbuild UK, don't go buying no matter what model; the last picture shows what's the right model (not the one with the thin horn below!). Up to you!!
