I've been to Portugal during school holidays here in France in order to solve some family issues and now it seems things are on the right track; The good news is that I've finally met César from AC Guitar Shop in person! We talked for just one hour or so because I was speeding to come back to France that day by car, but he's a 27 year old guy who's highly motivated to accomplish his dreams. The way we had spoken on internet these last months led me to think it would be somone around my age (I'm 47 now). Very concentrated, choosing carefully his machinery, using his funds wisely, projecting the future; I was quite impressed, and that doesn't happen often.
That said, César had 8 new bodies waiting for me, Strat and Tele! Lately you have seen a couple of poplar Telecaster bodies here on my blog, and this is the 3rd of a series of 6 poplar Tele bodies he made for me.
Almost the same color of the first Guacamole Green Tele body I've sold, a bit lighter, and I chose to yellow the clear coat quite more this time too. Medium relic, 1.80Kg, 55.8mm neck joint width and 16.5mm depth.
You can choose to buy the neck if you want; it's a rosewood/maple neck, 21 jumbo frets, medium C profile, 20mm thick at the 1st and also 12th frets, 55.6mm widht at heel, truss rod at heel with an hexagonal screw, and I have set it flat.
ATTENTION: the spacing of the machine head holes (10mm) is 127mm instead of 120mm. It's meant to be for 70's style tuners, NOT the 50's Kluson style tuners, OK? I personnally recomend the Schaller F-Series 70s, which measure 9.8mm. I've used a set recently on my #202440 project which had also this tuner hole spacing and they're great! For those living in Europe, 58 Euros at Thomann cyberstore!
