Hey guys!
Super excited with this new body, you'll understand why in a moment. 2-pc Alder B-stock, due to a couple of small knots, so instead of a transparent Sunburst I've done a solid Sunburst, and the relic job went great! Well, at least in my opinion. Before I forget: 1.76Kg, 55.7mm neck pocket width and 15.9mm of depth, standard vintage Fender specs.
You may notice that the bare wood on this body, and also on my latest Telecaster '72 Deluxe body, looks a bit different. In fact I have bought a wood wax at my local supermarket that doesn't look like it's meant for wood when you open the box, but it works very well on sealing the wood and protecting the edges of the relic finish. I love bee wax, and use it all the time, but this one is quite stronger and harder. I had to use the bee wax in order to soft it a bit because my bodies and necks are hand polished; it's a real arm workout LOL!
Once again I want to praise God for one more great looking body He has help me do, hope you like it too!
Cheers!
The #202456 Strat body made quite a
success. There were 4 potential clients between direct contacts and
platforms. One has bought the White over Sunburst Strat body, the second
has bought the latest Ash Super Heavy Relic Sunburst Strat body, the
3rd decided to wait, and the lucky winner bought the #202456. Guess
where it's traveling!? Transylvania!! Hope it doesn't arrive to the
client with teeth marks LOL!
