First of all, Happy Ne Year! THANK God for one more year.
Second, to all following my work: THANK YOU. 2025 was a great year; more sets instead of only bodies, developing my techniques, learning, less bloopers.
Speaking of bloopers, this one started like that. Old UK stock, 2-pc Alder, 1.8kg, I should've kept it for a good Sunburst, still, I said Yes (yet again) to a client who asked for a Sonic Blue relic finish, based on a picture from Fender CS. For someone who says he doesn't does custom jobs, it seems I haven't learned my lesson. But he had already bought from me and he does relic finishes in a country next to France.
Not my best project, and I agreed. And who gets to keep it? Me. Removed the finish but the wood was way too tinted for a Sunburst now, so here we go again, Sonic Blue it will be. I'd prefer the Burst, but it doesn't look bad now, does it? Got a Squier Classic Vibe neck at french Lebon*** used, with good frets, and a J. Mascis gold aluminum pickguard (now completely trashed LOL!), and lately a Göldo DG tremolo for Jazzmaster (yes!), and Gotoh SD91 with CARD6 mounting plates in carbon fiber (the thing is amazing! I didn't even knew those existed.). A 9.5" radius bridge from ADP Guitar Shop, some Gotoh old strap pins from an Ibanez RG450, 2 vintage style string retainers, and there you go! Very good hardware for a project that came out of a blooper! OK, the neck plate is Chinese, come on.

Ensuite, à tous ceux qui suivent mon travail : MERCI. 2025 a été une excellente année ; plus de guitares montées au lieu de simples corps, le développement de mes techniques, l'apprentissage, et moins d'erreurs.
En parlant d'erreurs, celle-ci a commencé comme ça. Un vieux stock britannique, en aulne deux pièces, 1,8 kg. J'aurais dû le garder pour une belle finition Sunburst. Pourtant, j'ai dit oui (encore une fois) à un client qui voulait une finition relic Sonic Blue, d'après une photo du service client de Fender. Pour quelqu'un qui prétend ne pas faire de commandes personnalisées, il semblerait que je n'aie pas retenu la leçon. Mais il avait déjà acheté chez moi et il fait des finitions relic dans un pays voisin de la France.
Ce n'était pas mon meilleur projet, et j'ai accepté. Et qui la garde ? Moi. J'ai enlevé la finition, mais le bois était beaucoup trop teinté pour un Sunburst, alors on recommence : ce sera Sonic Blue. Je préférerais la finition Burst, mais elle n'est pas si mal, non ? J'ai déniché un manche de Squier Classic Vibe d'occasion chez Lebon*** (en France), avec de bonnes frettes, et un pickguard J. Mascis en aluminium doré (maintenant complètement fichu, LOL !). Plus récemment, j'ai installé un vibrato Göldo DG pour Jazzmaster (génial !), et une Gotoh SD91 avec des plaques de montage CARD6 en fibre de carbone (c'est incroyable ! Je ne savais même pas que ça existait !). Un chevalet de radius 9,5" de chez ADP Guitar Shop, des attaches-courroie Gotoh d'une Ibanez RG450, deux guides-cordes vintage, et voilà ! Du très bon matériel pour un projet né d'une erreur ! Bon, d'accord, la plaque de fixation du manche est chinoise.
