Hello again, and Happy New Year everyone!
If you have followed my work since 2 or 3 months, I had bought 5 Telecaster 2-pc Alder bodies in a row. I've done the 42nd, 46th, 47th, 48th and 50th projects of 2025 with them. The very first body was black, and you can still take a look at it here in the latest posts. Someone here in France had seen a black Tele body I had done and wanted the same for him. I've done it because I like black, and I kept it reserved until the beginning of December I think. That person never answered my messages, so I've began to think on how it would be nice to do a set with it.
Over time I've began to notice it wasn't that good, it at least in my mind it wasn't that good. Sometimes it happens, maybe because you see it too many times, you do others that you like more than a previous one, or you just have a new idea for a project.
This right here is that #202542 body stripped and refinished! I saw a 1959 Telecaster with rosewood fretboard that inspired me, and there you go!
The set weighs 3,15kg right now, it has an aged parchment 5 hole 1,6mm thick pickguard, Göldo vintage bridge, Allparts machine heads, Harley Benton plates, Göldo 250k A and B pots and classic 3-way switch.
The neck has the usual specs; maple back and rosewood fretboard with 21 jumbo frets, medium C profile, and dual truss rod at heel with Philips screw head. There's 2 pinup decals on it, and a real dirty relic finish as I like. Do you like it? I hope so!
There's a couple of projects branded "2025" still to come because the main parts were relic'd last year still. One HSS Strat and at least a Telecaster with a P90 in the neck position. Don't forget to come by!
