Unexpected project ; someone on Instagram saw one of the Hot Rod Red Strat bodies I've done lately and asked me if I could do one for him. ADP Guitar Parts had one last 3-pc Alder body available, and I engaged myself to do it.

Just for the record, this is the only color I've done lately that has a non-nitro base. Here in France there are several German stores called "Action", and they sell, among many other things, spray cans, not very expensive. Nowadays, most colors are not that cool, in my opinion, but this red is awesome. I apply a first thin coat until the color covers the body completely, and then I apply several coats of the Golden Age lacquer from Nitorlack. Since the red paint is very similar to car paint, the drying time and finish are great!

It turned slightly darker than the others, a rich and deep color, as red as red can be! So I gave it a new name, Blood Red; after a few moments looking at it your eyes begin to tremble, it's quite hypnotising.

The French guy has read my message on Instagram, but neither sound nor image, and I'm not the kind of guy who insists on someone buying my work. So if you like it, it's available! Did I mention it weighs 1,63Kg? Not every day I have a light body on sale like that. Prepared for a 56mm wide Strat heel, the cavity has the standard 16mm depth.
